Week 1- Beginning

We met as a group for the first time this evening and reflected on the greatness of Jesus. We wprshipped God through song and prayer. A media clip reminded us of the call of Christ on our lives and of the cost of following Him. We reflected on the greatness of Christ as outlined in Pauls poem to the Colossian church (Colossians 1:15-20), Christ, through whom and for whom everything was created:-

19 For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, 20 and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.

The atmosphere was relaxed as we dwelt in the presence of the Spirit. After worship folk stayed around to chat. It felt as if God blessed what we were able to offer as we took a first step in faith.
