In light of the current guidelines issued by the government and by The Methodist Church regarding the impact of Covid-19 we have taken the decision not to gather in REfUSE on a Sunday evening until further notice. We believe that this decision is the best way in which we can fulfil the command to 'Love God and love our neighbour', by being part of the global move to limit the spread of the virus and protect the most vulnerable in our communities. Situations like the one we are facing bring home the importance of community and the need 'love one another' in practical ways. If there is anyone who needs support or help please get in touch.
If you would like to know more about being a Christian and the hope that we have in Jesus, or be part of an online gathering for worship, please get in touch using one of the methods on our contact page.
Authentic Love - ECG North East
October 16, 2016
Friends from Methodist Churches across the North east met for a day of worship, fellowship and teaching at Chester-le-Street Methodist Church, on Saturday 15th October. This was ECG North East (Equipping, Calling, Going). It was an amazing event with people travelling from North Yorkshire and Northumberland to participate. The theme for the day was Authentic Love. The uplifting worship was led by the young people and a challenging bible study led by Alison Wilkinson. This was Methodism at its finest,a reminder of who we are and what we are about, the greatness of our God and the immensity of his grace.
